Home Buyer Education

The Housing Fund requires homebuyers to receive homebuyer education from a THDA approved counselor prior to the loan closing. Application for financing may be made at any time; however, the ideal time to attend homebuyer education classes is prior to looking for a home.

You may sign up for homebuyer education classes with one of the twelve agencies below:

Upon completion of homebuyer education classes you will be issued a formal certificate, which successfully meets our education requirement and is good for one year from the date of issuance.
